Angelique Power is Program Director for the Joyce Foundation’s Culture Program, which distributes $2 million annually. She focuses on strengthening and diversifying arts organizations, building capacity within the arts sector and investing in the creative capital of artists of color through the Joyce Awards. Ms. Power came to Joyce with more than 15 years’ experience in communications and outreach, most recently serving as director of communications and community engagement at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. She also developed philanthropic efforts as a senior manager in community relations for Target Corporation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan and a masters of fine arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She serves on the board of directors for Grantmakers in the Arts.
